LEAVE OF ABSENCE POLICY

APPROVED AT BOARD MEETING, AUG 19, 2024:

NCC Policy re: Leave of Absence

Dues at Nittany are considered to be annual dues, but are billed quarterly for the convenience of the members. If a member requests a leave of absence during the calendar year and it is approved by the Board of Directors, additional billing from the time of the request will be put on hold. The member is still responsible for anything owed up to that point. If the member returns before the calendar year is finished, they are responsible for any payments that would have been part of their membership during their leave of absence.

For example, if a member requests a leave on May 1st and it is approved, no further billing will occur during that year, unless the member returns before the end of the year. If the member returns, they are responsible for any dues, etc., that would have normally been billed between May 1st and their return. All requests for a leave of absence must be made in writing.
