Fall Special

A fall special is now available. Join after Labor Day, and the membership is valid from fall 2026 through 2027. Share with family and friends.

EVENTS

Ladies Monthly Bridge

Bridge is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, from 1-4 p.m. Sign up online or contact Betty at nittanycountryclubnews@gmail.com. Beginners welcome.

Board Meetings

The next Strategic Planning meeting is scheduled for September 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Banquet Room. The board is planning on meeting with all the Committee Chairs.

The next regular Nittany Board meeting is scheduled for September 21, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Banquet Room. The meetings are open to all members. All voting members receive the minutes, and the date of the next meeting is at the end of the minutes.

Labor Day Weekend Events

The Labor Day Social & Buffet will be Thursday, September 3, 2026. Cocktail hour is at 5 p.m., Dinner is at 6 p.m., and Social begins at 7 p.m. The cost is included if you are playing in the tournament; otherwise, it is $20. Reservations are required for guests. Please sign up in the Grillroom or text Linda at (814) 383-2772 or Nikki at (814) 353-8726. All members are invited.

The Friday Night Special Dinner will be served on September 4, featuring live music by Adam Yarger. The bar will be open from 11 a.m. until close.

Saturday and Sunday, the bar will be open from 11 a.m. until close, with a soup-and-salad bar available.

On Monday, there will be a picnic from noon until the golf tournament ends. The Bar will be open at 11 a.m. until close.

GOLF

Course Closed

The course will close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, for the Bellefonte Girls High School match. They will play 9 holes.

Sponsors Needed

Nittany Country Club is looking for more sponsors to replace and add a few metal ball washers along the course. The sponsorship is $600 for the life of the ball washer. For more information, please call Michael Edmonds at (814) 280-7146 or email him at medmonds18@gmail.com.

The Bellefonte High School Girls Golf Team's practice schedule is as follows:

• 8-10 a.m. Monday, August 24

• 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, August 26

• 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, August 31

• 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 1

• 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 2

High School Boys

The Bellefonte High School Girls Golf Team's practice schedule is as follows:

• 4-6 p.m. Monday, August 24

• 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, August 26

• 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, August 27

• 4-6 p.m. Monday, August 31

• 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, September 1

There will be 18-hole matches on September 2, 2026, and September 17, 2026.  The course will be closed from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Labor Day Tournament

Sign up now! Labor Day qualifying ends on September 1, 2026. The playoff is on September 2, and the tournament will be September 4-7. The tournament is a three-day match play. There will be 8 golfers per flight. To qualify, you need to play two rounds. But you can still sign up if you do not qualify. Cost is $50. Call Skip in the Pro Shop to sign up or for more information. Thursday Mem’s League will be canceled on September 3rd due to the planned social.

Krislund Tournament

The Krislund Tournament will be on September 11, 2026.

Couples Golf

Next Nine and Dine Couples is on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Don’t miss it.

Ladies League Year-End Scramble

Sign up now for the Ladies League Year-End Scramble & Dinner on September 15, 2026. Guests are welcome. Linda Workman will offer a buffet dinner. The cost is TBD. The course will close at 3:30 p.m. for sign-in; tee-off is at 4 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6 p.m. Sign up by September 8, 2026, in the locker room or online at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084DACAE2FA5F5C70-65278904-tues#/.

The event is rain or shine. If the weather gets bad, the party will move indoors for games. New golfers are welcome and encouraged to play. A golf membership is not necessary; the cost is only for a cart rental.

Fantasy Football League

Nittany’s Fantasy Football League draft will be in late August. If you are interested, contact Dave Meyers at   dmyers1214@comcast.net or in person.

Golf Reminder

• Range balls are needed. If you have extra golf balls, please bring them to the Pro Shop for the driving range.

• Please put the rakes back in the bunker after use, as this helps with the mowers.

• Pro Shop Credits must be used by the end of October.
